Jerome Frank's story chronicles six-months of a seventeen-year-old boy's desperate attempt to make something of his life during the late eighties. For many Black Americans, it was a chaotic time as crack rock flooded urban areas through out America. Jerome's first encounter with the drug was the perfect storm for the already struggling student and wannabe hustler. In mere weeks the highly addictive drug changes Jerome's status; taking him from obscurity to the big man on the block, at the start of his senior year. Initially, Jerome believes he has finally found his calling in life. Then the hood gets hot causing him to rethink his dreams.
